This class commenced with discussing the submission dates, assignments .Then we continued converting 2 dimension to 3 dimension models. The process was tedious and time consuming but made us more efficient . The best part of this project is it is breaking our creative boundaries in an implementation manner. Where we are able to give shape to abstract lines ,dots, textures. The Challenging part was only file card as a material was allowed to be used.
“I am a a star in the dark night”
This metaphor is being showcased through constellations. Through the technique of quilling The round shape was created giving the dept effects of dots. Lastly using strips of file card it was allingened in a certain manner.
” I am an ant among the grasshoppers.”
This illustration started with creating ‘N’ structures which represented a mountain and and grasshopper’s legs. Then came the complex part where ant were created with one single strip of file card without cutting. Legs were added to give the realistic effect.Lastly, the big sun behind which shows ray’s of sun was made with a piece of sheet and cutting it .
“I am a prayer”
This metaphor is related to belief .For me belief is the fire in a dark cave. The most common way of expressing belief is prayer.Hence, I started with making wooden sticks at the bottom by rolling file card. On top is the fire which was the most difficult part to manage. This is fire upside down and in between is the fuel of hope where two palms are made.
Overall, this project helped explore our own talent be it balancing , shaping or formation.The outputs were quite interesting and unexpected.
