Today’s class was about discussion of sketches , of a city that left an impact on you and showcase of three pictures from Byculla museum that left an impact on us .
So this image describes Switzerland.The black and white side is about objects describing the country.Starting with snowy mountains, cable car , trains, shopping and desserts. Through ball pen and brush pen the whole idea is showcased. In between boxes are also some patterns like a cow patch, railway tracks, shopping bags and a bridge .
Towards the right side is the black page where we had to portray our experience through 5 senses.Touch, sight,taste,sound,smell.So by using poster and acrylic colors the beauty of the area is illustrated. Firstly,the purple bowl is a special cottage cheese yogurt which was the best taste.Next is a tulip flour sent flower which had an authentic smell which was unique and hard to find.With creamish white color is the symbol of wind . Being the peaceful city the only sound which was favorite to the ears was of cold breezy winds.Next is the magical staircase which is dreamy ‘beyond the clouds’ between mountain ranges was the best sight ever seen .Lastly , the symbol of snow flake and the snowfall in the background symbolizing the cold touch of snowball and playing with it was the best experience.This was an interesting part of the project reviving memories and painting them to fantasy.
This image is a graveyard where people from different cast put the body here to be eaten by carnivorous birds. It has 3 level staircase where people pray and follow rituals. This photo specifically seemed like the doorways to hell or heaven. The place connected me directly to culture,tradition and structure.
This project of exploring the museum and rejuvinating the best impacted city helped us explore.
Next after completing these assignment we were told as a group to decide upon a public place in Mumbai and identify unusual aspects.Where we had to make a questionnaire .Deciding upon a unique place was challenging and convincing your group mates upon it.After that deciding on aspects which make our project different was important.
