Today’s class was about mainly about submitting our assignments.It was about creating five concepts from the action chosen . The action we chose and the concepts went through a lot of obstacles . Where at each step we tried to improve it to its best by creating new concepts or modifying each idea .
This being a group activity had more perspective and more brainstorming.Doing sketches , showing their interaction and then doing its technical was a task . But more failures gives much more no. of experiences making it better.The mistakes were mainly first it should be wearable and not a patch . So then we started creating foot wearable which were different from footwear.Next problem was that our self defense theme on which our wearable were created became weapons. Ideas would injure the person but the agenda was defense. Hence we had to start fresh with new interaction and new concept all together.Now we had to understand that wearable is for two people,where blocking and protecting is the target and not injuring and lastly something locking the offender.
This learning of rejection of idea, developing again and again jumping over to a new idea all together seemed scary and failure at first . But with laughter group work creating better ideas was a learning as a designer to never give up.
