Today was the first class of our second semester. It was more about a recap and a revision class. This is where we had to recreate a poster of any of Tim Burton movies .We could also recreate a live seen but i chose recreating a poster.
We carried forward with the same process where we created the sketches through pen and shape tool and exported it to Photoshop. The movie i chose was Miss Peregrine Home for Peculiar Children . It is an amazing movie directed by Tim Burton . It speaks about a lady who can turn into a bird who takes care of these special children with unusual capabilities. Hence the original movie poster has all the characters. But i tried the form of symbolism and abstraction. Where Each character’s superpower is what i depicted in the story . This would add to the suspense at the same time showcase the characters. The basic characters which were sketched in illustrator and then exported in photoshop . The colours were filled through bucket tool and through layers all the objects were set in a particular way and then adding adjustments to give the final effects .
This is my final output . Where on the top is the name of the movie written through 3-D texts. On bottom of that is the bird symbol . On the bottom are suspenseful yet mysterious . This revision has not only helped in imaging but many other classes . The though process and the way i deconstructed a story to objects and poster was a tedious process but exciting . Being neat in my work and starting to pratice more which is very important.
