Today’s class was different . We were shown a french romantic comedy movie . ‘AMELIE’ about a young women who describes her childhood but an incident which changes her life forever . This movie is not about money,riches or royal love . It is set in a local market old yellow vintage theme . Where people fall in love in unusual ways . Where they live and enjoy the moment they don’t have huge dreams but some aspirations and a deed they want to fulfill . Where Amelie moves on a way to mend messy lives of people around her . She wants nothing in return but looks to see happiness in other people lives. The set and characters are also creative like the artist with bones as brittle as glass. Fetish ways and likings like clearing the bag . The most heart touching part for me was where she steals her dad’s dwarf dummy to whom he has been attached a lot . Where he wants to travel the world but due to death of his wife he is scared to be alone . But when the toy travels and sends letter to his father he also makes a move . The next half of the class where we discussed the movie its quirkiness and cinamatography .Then our next assignment was introduced to us where we had to click pictures based on Gestalt’s six principles and a concept from the movie . The ending of class helped us brush up the principles and accordingly plan the phtography.
