The above pictures gave us a summary of Gestalt’s principles . This time it wasn’t on photoshop or illustrator but actuall photography. Still some of my pictures like the aqua colored candle which potrayed proximity didn’t give the exact essence as per review . Therefore we had to click pictures from within the campus .

Figure and ground relationship
Proximity

After finally getting the pictures approved we also learned from our classmates about the photography and principles . As in how it could be cropped zoomed to the the essence of the principle . Reviewing and going through peers work gave a wider spectrum view.

Next the two pictures which we had to choose from the movie ‘Amelie’ . A french romantic movie from which we had to choose a word or concept and through abstraction and photography get it . I chose the word ‘scurf’ which actually means flakes of dead skin causing dandruff . But metaphorically this word had much deeper meaning which inspired and made it more interesting for me to do it.

Without you today’s emotions would be scurf of yesterday’s .”– from movie Amelie

This first image i wanted to potray the dark side of the scurf which is dirt , gloomyness. But instead this potrayed something else to my peers. For this picture i used blue gelatin paper with water drops from glue gun.

In this i used abstraction by showing the glowy positive side of scurf . By using fairy lights and a dark room.

Overall this part of process gave me experience and exploration of creative photography . Where zero effects were used in overall process . Because filters would change the whole orignality and the raw process.

Overall view of the 14 pictures that were clicked for the assignment.
