INTEGRATIVE SEMINAR (week 3)

21/01/2020

Today’s class was about presenting mind maps and understanding the background, history of the author. Different topics were given to each groups . I and some of my friends were absent for the last class but learning from our classmates maps was very insightful . Starting from his birth 1923 and his newspaper writings and many other parts which actually impacted the style of writing. Even the book invisible cities concept is very astonishing at the same time the most creative description i could visualise . The connection between the Emperor and Marco polo is also very different . The chapters which i read in between the books which spoke about such unique cities . It had all emotions from a graveyard to a joyus fun place . But what i noticed and learned was the emotions of Marco in betwwen sentences where he had his personal opinions going on . The statement from the book “the listner retains only the word he is expecting “ . Is such a powerful statement even between complicated words and exaggerated descriptions . The statements were more like reality of life and situation he was in . It helped hit the reality goal . The next statement that had a strong impact was”its not the voice that commands the story it is the year. “ This had such a deep meaning that everyone knew but noone ever thought of . Similarly , through mindmaps the facts gave interconnections helping us reach the roots .Now such facts and thoughts from the book makes me more eager to read and understand it .
