Today’s class was about presenting basic ideas regarding the topic. Our topic clean water and sanitation which gave so many insights to the already known topic . We started with the basics how disposal of waste is the main reason for contamination of water . We spoke mainly about notified and unnotified government areas . We even got to know about the 24 wards in mumbai which are government institutions that are a part of all facilities . I mainly resaearched about the M east ward which has not been developed since years . The most astonishing part of the whole thing was even though such bad situations people of areas were ready to develop and pay for new sanitation facilities . But technical grounds , enroached land were the main problems faced . Many facts were discovered and the core problem was over population and lack of infrastruture where problems like the floor breaking and dropping in the tank . We not only learned from our group but also other classmates which who spoike about hunger , consumption . The cold chain wastage where even people willing to reduce wastage by distributing food also needs permission and a struture . Therefore there are many solutions but the chains , procedure are slow and long that in turn doubles the problem.
