Today’s class was about learning from failures . We had to show our iterations and start with the gateway for the final tunnel box . My city being dreamy and magical it had more of tose colors . I didn’t use abstraction as my expression . This was my first mistake . Being not perfect in sketching skills made it second mistake and the usual barrier .
This is the flipped city . Where the ground is the sky and the houses are upside down with trampoline roads . Unicorn being the only medium of transport . The clouds of marshmellows . The simplicity and in the drawing is what did nt work out.
This is two cities combined in one illustration .This is the times city divided in three halfs . Where day , night and twilight can all be felt and the same time. Where one manifests their wishes in the night and moon changing its shapes . The soul city which has souls which people fall in love with and not the bodies . The bodies and outfits are fashion which one can change and it is full of equality .In this my colors when too dull as i wasn’t comfortable with dry mediums for the backgrounds.
Then through abstraction i redid my cities to make it brighter and more detailed . The city which has rainbows is shown on the bottom through stippling as a form of rendering . The cloud which is shaped in form of o unicorn with a horn .The top is the water and the flipped city . The round of a rainbow and on top is a cirlcle which signifies trampoline .
On the right is the city of medusa . Where one can never die hence the sign of immortality . The mirror is which is the biggest devil one who sees that confounds their worst fear and then try to suicide but they can’t die .The snakes here are the monsters who don’t let you die .Its full of fear and dark with an evil green rays of light.
Next step was the gateway which got delayed due to weak illustrations . But no sooner i extracted layers to form my dream city .
This class taught many things . The mistake taught me many things firstly to never give up if even the work is delayed . Using the rendering techniques taught in drawing have been very helpful .
