Today was the final class with a task and the final assignment . Which we tend to fail in the last step . But they say failure is the first step to success .It was a perfect example of time management and its importance.
It was a group assignment where teamwork was the main key . There were contradiction of ideas and groupism but we had to narrow down to one perspective .Then we selected video as our medium to represent the project in terms of before and after perspective of strategic design management .Where again lack of coorditation and each one trying to provr their point lead to waste of time with no output .Then we came to same grounds and quickly shooted the video with us being in it .
Our main theme was to be in the video of each one with different personality having different opinions . We went with a storyline which was more of learning with humour to make it interesting . Then we went with the class scenario of group project and discussed our reflections and after thoughts and learnings .
We faced a problem of time where during the timeout we finished shooting . The time for combinig and editing the video went out .Then too we managed to combine it on phone with a video editing app . But our next barrier was technicality .Which didn’t transfer due to storage issues and then wasn’t played in the class due to technical errors .
Finally we tried to say our dialogues in the class as per video but still the time was out . Therefore sometimes everyone has ideas but descisions should be made with the criteria of keeping other factors in mind.
My intial idea was to create something abstract with black file card for which i had also got some neon pens and a power point presntation .But sometimes failure and mistakes teaches us better lessons.
Then later after proper editing also we couldn’t upload due to technical issues . A combined editing on i movies maker and then trying to upload on drive as well as youtube failed.
But my reflections on before and after 6 weeks were so different . During the start it seemed like a business related subject but something complicated . It was very heavy to know as per research wise . But as when we went through the thing it actually changed my perspective . It seemed so helpful and interesting that my father was keen that i take this field . But my battle for coming in design school was alwatys about fashion and not business . Therefore this six weeks didn’t made me change my pathway but gave me a wider insight into future .
Where i had been sure of doing my masters in fashion business managemnt and fashion entreprenuership . But now the importance and understanding of sdm has made it an important part of my life in oder to attain my dreams . Where i even explored fields under sdm like fashion strategic management.
